23 July 2022. On this very hot day, some people did the morning only (up through Hadleigh Country Park, past Hadleigh Castle and then down to Leigh-on-Sea). Some did the afternoon only (back alongside the mudflats to Benfleet). And the author did only part of the afternoon (following fish and chips in Leigh-on-Sea and tea at the clubhouse at Leigh Golf Driving Range).
