Woolwich to Greenwich, 6 Dec

This is an enjoyable walk along the Thames, a mixture of new and old developments with time to look at the Old Siemens factory, the Thames barrier, the O2 – ending at Greenwich for those of you who might enjoy a look around the market or the Museums.  Six to seven miles.

The walk starts outside the Elizabeth Line Station in Woolwich, meeting at 10 am.  There are trains from London Bridge to Woolwich Arsenal Station and this is only 4 mins on foot from the Elizabeth Line Station.  The walk is easy, no mud, no stiles and doesn’t require poles.  Sun glasses might be useful if sunny.  Public toilets at the Thames Barrier and the O2.

Lunch: around the O2.  There is the possibility to have a cafe lunch or sit on a bench for a quick picnic followed by coffee.  

The afternoon will continue along the Thames to arrive in Greenwich where buses or DLR are available.
