Hampton Court to Addlestone, 29 Nov

Travel: From Waterloo Station take the 09.06 direct train, which arrives at Hampton Court at 09.44; it is in Zone 6.  Buy a single ticket for the return from Addlestone to Feltham (boundary Zone 6) for £5.05 with a Senior Railcard. This stopping service is the line back to London Waterloo. I will be aiming to catch the 15.08 or 15.38 train back from Addlestone – ideally before it gets dark!

The Walk: A lovely riverside stroll beside the River Thames (5 miles) in the morning and 3 miles alongside the Wey Navigation in the afternoon. It’s all on the flat and there are no stiles, however it is likely to be muddy in places.

Drop out point is Weybridge, where we will have lunch. The station is not close to the river, so the best option would be to take the bus back to Hampton Court.

Lunch: I have booked the bright conservatory in The Old Crown pub in Weybridge and will confirm the numbers before we set off on our walk.  NB. The other pub The Minnow is currently undergoing renovations. There are places to picnic nearby along the river.
