Thames, Grand Union Canal and River Brent, 8 Nov

Train: Meet Richmond Station concourse 10 am.

Walk: This walk is part of the Capital Ring, starting in Richmond and ending in Greenford. Ten miles in total, the morning section is 5 miles, with a drop out possible after lunch, with easy walk to the Elizabeth  Line Station at Hanwell. We end at Greenford Sta. which is on both the Central and overground lines. The walk is all in the Freedom Pass area. There are no stiles but the path is muddy in places, so  a pole may be needed.

Lunch: snacks can be purchased as we pass through Syon Park. There will be a lunch picnic stop  (recommended) near the scenic Hanwell Flight of Locks,  light lunches and drinks and loos  also available in the Fox at Hanwell. I have not booked a table in the pub but there are plenty of seats under cover if the weather is poor.  Walk organiser : Sue C
