Trains: There are two options: 1. The Elizabeth Line on which you can use your freedom pass: Paddington 9.47, arr Twyford  10.33. Or 2. Great Western:  Paddington 10.08, arr Twyford 10.37.

Please note that the walk leaders will be meeting you at Twyford Station, not Paddington.

The Walk: Eight Miles. This is a flat walk on footpaths across fields, through woods, between lakes in a country park and along the River Loddon. There is some walking along winding country roads with no pavement on which vehicles tend to drive quite fast – it is necessary to be in single file at all times on these. There may be one or two stiles. The afternoon is slightly longer than the morning.

Lunch: Lunch is at the Castle Inn in Hurst. The pub serves starters, main meals and pizzas. You can get an idea of the menu on their website. There is a church opposite, in the grounds of which you can eat a picnic. Please let Linda know by text or email if you would like to eat in the pub by Thursday, 7 August.

Please note that there are no known drop out points for the walk, but it might be possible to call a taxi from the pub.
