Sevenoaks Circular, 9 March

Published by Morley Ramblers on

The original version of this walk is another victim of the mud. The steep hill down to the proposed  lunch stop was almost impossible when we did the recce. So I am proposing to do a slightly shorter version, with lunch at Godden Green, but some of the walk will be in the opposite direction to the recce (with consequent room for errors).

The Train (final destination Ramsgate) leaves Charing Cross 9.29,  Waterloo East 9.32 and London Bridge 9.38, arriving  Sevenoaks 10.02. I shall be joining at London Bridge. Middle coaches of the train are best for the exit at Sevenoaks.

Lunch  at Godden Green (please let me know by Thursday pm if you want to eat in pub).

The Walk will be 7-8 miles. It is in and around Knole deer park in Sevenoaks, and surrounding woodland. It is a bit hilly with a mix of grass, mud and some hard surface paths and lanes. Only two (slightly awkward) stiles.
