Chelsea backstreets and Brompton Cemetery, 23 Dec
We will meet at 10 am just to the side of Sloane Square Tube. We will lunch at the North Gate Cafe of Brompton Cemetery. There is space outside for Members bringing their own food. There are toilets too.
This fascinating history walk passes an array of landmarks and the opportunity to see how ‘the other half’ live/d. The full walk is circular and between six and a half to seven miles, it is on pavement/ hard surfaces. The main hazards are occasionally difficult road crossings and the Kings Road is likely to be very busy but there are buses for anyone who ‘has had enough’. We expect to be back at the Tube by 2.30 pm allowing plenty of time for last minute shopping. Here is just one of our landmarks.
