Benfleet Circular, 21 Oct

The walk is a 8-9 mile circular route from Benfleet with good views of the Thames Estuary.  The outward half of the walk has lots of short steep stretches at the beginning. The return half is completely flat. We should arrive in Leigh at about 12:30. Members may leave or join the walk at Leigh Station where there are frequent trains back to London. 

Food 

Lunch is at Leigh- on – Sea where there is a good choice of pubs and cafes.

There will be a coffee break in both the morning and afternoon walks.

Train 

Please catch the train scheduled as follows:  Fenchurch Street 09:17, West Ham 09:26, Barking 09:33. Please meet up in the front half of the train. We will arrive at Benfleet at 10:09. I will join the train at Barking. Apologies for not going up to Fenchurch Street but it would add an hour to my journey. Members with Freedom Passes should book their train tickets from Upminster.
