Westhumble to Dorking, 22 April

Published by Morley Ramblers on

There is a programme change on 22 April. Walk leader Sally says: ‘I had planned to walk from Ockley (Surrey) to Warnham (Sussex) for this ramble but on the recce I found it was the muddiest walk ever (mainly walking on clay) and very heavy going – for over 10 miles. Therefore I have opted to do ‘my’ slightly easier Polesden Lacey walk instead (9 miles on chalk soil). Sorry for any disappointment.’

Trains leave from Victoria to Boxhill and Westhumble 9.41 (arrives 10.37) and there are several trains each hour back returning from Dorking station (buy train return to Dorking). For those joining at Clapham Junction, Boxhill train leaves at 9.48. You can bring a picnic lunch, there is a snack bar and food at Polesden Lacey.
