Joe King’s memorial walk

Sunday 15 May. Eighteen people braved the rain to join Pauline L in a memorial walk for Joe King. Joe walked regularly with the Morley Ramblers during the 20-teens. The group included two of Joe’s college friends with whom he used to run on Hampstead Heath, as well as friends from the Holy Trinity Swiss Cottage where he attended the Alpha course, and several representatives of the Morley Ramblers. We walked from the Parliament Hill viewing point down to Kenwood House, where we had a picnic and toasted Joe in lemonade, sloe gin and champagne
