Shadwell to Canada Water
(29 January) Eighteen members joined Kathleen for the walk that was her regular lock down activity. Early birds readied themselves with second breakfasts – or just coffee – in a café at Shadwell DLR station.
The morning light allowed some excellent photography with Carole, Virginia and Sigrid all contributing here. The results provide a thought-provoking evocation of the new East End – high rise blocks of financial institutions, modern housing and the industrial heritage of the former docks. With a nod to the countryside, the walk also included a circuit of Mudchute Park & Farm, Twinkle Park and Stave Hill.
