An urban essay in photographs. Covid Spring, April 2020

To cope with Covid 19 the NHS has recently recruited a host of new volunteers to deliver medicine, shopping etc.; but  they cannot substitute for the stalwarts who have been supporting the NHS for many years and who know the hospitals where they volunteer inside out.  Mary-Jane has been a volunteer at Kings’ College Hospital for many years and has sent these photos of her walk to volunteering.

The walk begins
Forget-me-not front garden
Love Walk garden, planted before lockdown
St Giles Church …
… and churchyard
Memory Lane at the Maudsley
Why volunteers are needed
