Knockholt Circular

Published by Janet V on

4 July. This turned out to be a good walk for a hot day. Mostly grass underfoot, but plenty of shade and several woodland passages.

The morning was the longer part of the walk, and we were glad to get to Knockholt Pound for a shady picnic or a snack in the Three Horseshoes. The sun came out more relentlessly in the afternoon and, by popular vote, we had a second stop not long after lunch for tea and ice cream at Coolings Garden Centre. Then back along the path to Knockholt Station, through the overgrown former golf course, which is threatened with a housing development.

Thanks to my 10 companions, and to Mary Jane and Christine M for photos. Janet
