The Walk

 A  mostly shady walk along the Grand Union Canal, The River Great Ouse and the Ouse Valley Way. About 1.5 m  across fields without shade. All flat. Tow paths, country parkland and farmland. Industrial architecture.

7 stiles: 4 low, 3 moderate.

Long morning ( about 5 1/2 miles)  and short afternoon.

The weather promises to be cooler but please bring plenty to drink.

Lunch 

The Barley Mow at Cosgrove. Canalside pub.  Or picnic in nearby churchyard.

I have booked a table for eight. 

If you want to eat in the pub please let me know before Thursday  as they require menu choices for groups of 8 or more. Menu attached. The table is inside but we can sit outside , but outdoor tables can’t be booked. There is also a light bite menu of baguettes etc.
