Royston Circular, 18 Apr

NB This is a change from the programmed walk from Saunderton, which is badly affected by HS2 works

Train: London Bridge 9.16, London St Pancras 9.31, arr Royston 10.22 (Thameslink train to Cambridge).

The Walk: We will climb  out of Royston on the Chiltern chalk escarpment with some fine views.

The climb is fairly significant with some steep sections. There are no stiles but the chalk may be slippery if wet, so poles are advised. 

Lunch: Please bring some food for a picnic. We will be able to visit the pub in the attractive Therfield village, and possibly have light bites; but space is limited and on a first-come basis.
