St Margarets (Herts) Circular, 13 Dec

Please note a change in the start time as we need to finish before dark and without rush. Train 9.12 from Liverpool Street, 9.51 at St Margarets Herts.  9.25 at Tottenham Hale where I will probably join from Victoria Line. Return from Enfield Lock from edge of travel zone.

The walk is 9 miles in very pleasant countryside, starting and finishing with a short canal stretch to Amwell Nature Reserve, with very little road walking and only a couple of stiles. There are hills, but nothing serious and the main issue will be potential for ground water and mud, so sticks may help with that. There is no drop out point.

Lunch is at the Chequers Inn, Wareside. I have booked a few spaces, but if members are definitely planning to eat in the pub please let me know before Friday.  There is a picnic spot, but with limited rain cover.
