The walk

A mainly flat walk through parklands and along canals and beside lakes, fields and woodland. Traffic free. Hard surfaces but there are always parallel green soft options. Lovely autumn colours. A Roman Villa and lots of public art including the famous concrete cows, Thatched country village pub. End with tea at art gallery then frequent buses through MK Centre to station.

Travel 

Train leaves Euston at 9.46 to MK Central 10.18. (An alternative slow train, run by Avanti, leaves Euston at 9.24 and also arrives MK at 10.18)

Buy return to MK

Beware Avanti tickets usually not transferrable.

Lunch 

The Nags Head , Great Linford. 

Escape possible at lunchtime by bus number 7 at 02, 22 and 42 minutes past each hour to MK railway station. 12 minutes s walk from the pub. Frequent trains back to London.

Tea. 

MK Art Gallery then bus (with bus passes) from outside the gallery to MK central.
